Located in the Preston Hollow neighborhood of Dallas, this sprawling garden space is always a joy for us to work in. The front garden compliments the traditional style of the home with mass plantings of roses, azaleas, and loropetulums within a neat hedge of trimmed boxwoods. To add some flair to this traditional planting style, we used plantings with contrasting foliage, and allowed for two large areas of annual color to create a fresh look every season. In the backyard, the homeowners decided that they wanted more garden than lawn, and we were happy to oblige. Features in the backyard include specialty trees, a garden path, and a high mixture of annuals, perennials, and evergreens. Finally, the real gem of this project is the quaint side garden. This walled in garden is a private oasis of colorful blooms that the homeowners can enjoy year round.
